Ditching the Sugar

Confession time......I used to hide in the closet and eat candy so my kids wouldn’t see me and want some.  I was a full blown self proclaimed sugar addict and in my mind, there was no way I could ever stop eating it. It was like heroin or what I picture it would be like.

Wanting to stop, trying with all my might, doing good for a few days only to fall off the wagon again.  The chocolate would literally call my name. I couldn’t think about anything else until I got my “fix”. I know it sounds silly and dramatic but seriously, the cravings and addiction were REAL!

I wish I could tell you I quit cold turkey and it was easy but I’d be lying. It was a process with lots of ups and downs and I’m proud to say I been refined sugar free for over 1.5 years now. What helped me the most was upgrading how I got my sweet fix. Substituting healthier forms of sugar and eliminating the refined stuff and doing a reset to literally reset my taste buds. And the good news is, if I can do it, so can you!!! You simply need to commit and have the right support!
